Proportionality

Proportionality is when the good this is achieved by wagin war must not be outweighteed by the war. The Vietnam War was not proportional, as 58,000 American lives were lost and over three million Vietnamese lives. The United States and the South Vietnamese lost the war as well, so the killing never did any good. Many of the trees and vegetation in Vietnam were also killed because of the use of Agent Orange. The country was taken over by Communist North Vietnam, so all the fighting against them never came to anything.
